365 day Art Project

Pla Pla is a year long art project I created in 2023 that focused on improvisation, free play, and exploration through uninhibited making. As part of the project, I set a monthly prompt to spur engagement and discovery within my community and myself which culminates in a group ‘pla date’ with friends at the end of each calendar month. Prompts have so far included pantry box bag making, pom poms, melty beads, stunglasses and ‘making rainbows’.

Pla Pla was exhibited at Small Works Gallery, Murwillumbah in May 2023 and featured a series of sold out, tie-in workshops. I also created a tie in book ‘Pla Pla’ in December 2023, which is available here and at boutique retailers.
