The Culture Club

An exploration of clothing and identity as a symbol of performance and rebellion, this collection of wearable art pieces was photographed by Andrea Jankovic at the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane.

Each work in this collection began as a vintage garment and was transformed through my signature ‘swamping’ technique. Through this process, the old garments have been obliterated and made new to inhabit a new world and identity.
